Home Travel - February 28th
4:00 a.m. came quick, and Grandpa was first up with a hot shower as the sinuses seemed clogged. Then Drake and SJ with Palmer. Then Grandma and Parker sound asleep despite the noise. Uncle Logan was up and we helped finish packing at getting everyone out to the shuttle by 4:50 - 5:00 a.m.

By 6:30 the truck was packed, condo departure checklist complete and ready to head out. Logan reminded Dad we need to look for Drake's skis. We parked out front and walked the entire area. To Logan's credit he spied the skis inside a door to the Education Department office next door to the Ski School. Unfortunately not open and nobody answered the number on the door.
Grandpa parked the truck and after a bathroom break walked with Logan to the neighboring building Gravity Haus (Drake and SJ had dinner there Thursday night) so Logan could get coffee. At 7:45 a.m. headed to the Ski School to see if we could get in. No luck as they didn't have the key. Up stairs to Maggie's to wait. Just before 8:00 a.m., Grandpa walked down and stood by the door. A gentleman approached and was there to open the facility! He knew the skis as he was the one to put away thinking they might get stolen. Success the skies were acquired and put on the truck for departure.

By the time that Grandpa and Logan were headed to Denver the early crew was already at their airport, but hadn't taken off by the time the truck passed DIA.

Of course with 7 hours of driving left the crew was back home before we got to the KS border. Three stops along the way for fuel and bathroom got Logan home by 6:45 p.m. Grandpa then headed to Drake and SJs to help with the girls and unload gear. After a little struggle to get the girls down the grandparents hung out until mamma and dadda arrived. Yes, this hardy couple went out on a party bus only a couple of hours of being home. Then dinner at the Peanut with friends. Grandpa got to try on Drake's coat, so fashionable. Ah to be young.
Grandpa and Grandma trekked home and unpacked to be in bed by 10:30. Next morning Grandpa headed to the Summit Petcare to pick up Breck who was so excited to go home. Breck helped Grandpa with taking ski rack down and doing a little more unpacking. A great trip with the completion of the blog as the last step. Already looking forward to next ski season.
Sunday at 8:00 a.m., grandpa picked up Breck who got his grooming done and was a totally different dog.
