A great night's sleep and bagel breakfast to kick-off the day. A text with the Granddaughters up and at em early with Bananas' was a good start.

We departed from the Spark hotel to a nearby Sam's Club for the first round of supplies. After some quick change out from the cooler we headed to the closest Trader Joe's. Then 6th Avenue to the west side of Denver were we connected with I70. While at Sam's talked to Uncle David and Christa about their travels. Road was really bad, but they did get on the mountain by 11:00 a.m.
In parallel the KC crew was at the airport to travel to Denver, then shuttle ride to the mountain.

Along the way the construction caused a little slow down, but to see what they have accomplished since last year is amazing. New bridge structure and a side of a mountain gone. Long ways to go, but the route will be greatly improved coming down that portion of the trip into Idaho Springs.
Upon arrival in Frisco another stop at WalMart, then into Breckenridge for lunch at Eric's. Recommended by Dave Henderson as a good bar food stop. Its got an arcade for kids, so a lot of families. Janie had baked chicken wings and Jeff a Philly Cheesesteak. Both with lots of water to ge.t the trip off on the right footing.

From downtown a quick circle to the City Market for more supplies. Another update from David was no lift line issues and snow not great.
We are staying the Village at Breckenridge one of the oldest condos at the base of Peak 9. Indoor parking was a little tricky, but once we figured out the lay of the land we hauled all the supplies up to the room. While Janie unpacked Jeff made 4 more trips for all the gear. Around 3:45 the rest of the KC gang made it to the condo and everyone quickly unpacked and fell into the rhythm.
After everyone getting adjusted, Grandma, Drake, SJ, Parker and Palmer went for a walk around the village and ski lift just out the front door. Parkers ski school is literally right outside and we can view from the balcony of the condo. Bluebird day and lots of skiers. Maggie's had live music so they found some dance moves. David and Christa reported that really no lift lines all day and the snow is not great, but that's Uncle David talking.

Upon returning Grandma cranked up the snacks of buffalo dip and french dip for dinner. After dinner we hung out and taught each other stretching exercises. Drake brought all his stretching and massage gear, which I'm sure will get a lot of use.
After baths the girls finally calmed down to sleep and we lost Drake and SJ. Grandma was close to follow and Grandpa and Logan fast behind.
Only downside of being slope side is the groomers were outside at 4:00 a.m. getting the ski school area and lift run all groomed.
